David Stoneham grew up in North Kent and started to play the Cornet at 11. He received his initial musical training at school, soon joining the brass band and participating in his first recording session at 13. After taking up the trumpet, he was invited to play in various local youth bands and orchestras and further his studies within Kent Music School.
After a number of years mainly playing with brass bands, David decided in 2007 to revisit some earlier musical interests. Now working as a professional freelance musician, his experience, versatility and reliability has enabled David to be equally at home performing with a pit band, big band, symphony orchestra or chamber group.
